Searching Backed Up Data

Skyvia offers powerful data search functionality for your backups. You can search your backed up data by a fragment of one of its fields. For example, if you want to find a specific account in your backups, you can find it by a part of its name, address, phone, etc.

Skyvia searches data in all backups of the current backup package. If it does not find the necessary records in the current backup, it continues search in previous backups, and displays results for the most recent backup that contains such records. If these are not the results you want, you can manually continue search in even older backup or navigate back to results in a newer backup.

To start data search, perform the following steps:

1.Click the button with object name under the History header and select the object you want to find from the list of backed up objects.
2.Enter the string to search for in the box to the left of this button.
3.Click search-button Search in current backup button or press Enter.

The search results are displayed on the Data Preview Page page.
