Export package is a specific kind of a package, which loads data from cloud applications and relational databases to CSV files.
To create an Export package, perform the following actions:
|1.||Navigate to the Integration Packages page by clicking Integration in the menu on the left side of the page.|
|3.||Click Export on the opened menu.|
|4.||Optionally click the Edit name button near the automatically generated package name (on this step it's "Export Package") and specify the package name. If you omit this step, the package name will be generated later based on the names of the exported Salesforce objects.|
|5.||In the Source header click Select, and then click the data source you want to use.|
Select the Source Connection for the package. If haven't created the source connection yet, click the New button and create a new connection (learn how).
|6.||By default, the created packages export data to CSV files, that are downloaded to a local computer. If you want just to download the result CSV file, skip this step.|
If you want to save the result CSV files to Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or FTP, click My PC in the Target header.
Then select the source of CSV file(s) - Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or FTP, and after this select the Target Connection. If haven't created the required target connection yet, click the New button and create a new connection.
After this, specify the Folder where to place the result files.
|7.||If necessary, specify the Code Page of the exported file with data. Additionally you may click the More Options link and specify CSV Options.|
|8.||You also can clear the Append timestamp to the file name check box if you want the name of the result CSV files to consist only of the exported Salesforce object name. Note that if you specify a custom target CSV file name in an export task, it will not be followed by the timestamp even if this check box is selected for the package. This check box is applied only for export tasks with the default file name.|
|9.||Click + Add task, and create a new Export task (learn how).|
|10.|| Repeat the previous step until you create all the necessary export tasks.|
|11.|| Click the Save button.|
When you export data to a CSV file to your PC, you can download the result file in the following way: in the Run History pane of the package details page click the package run you want to download results of. It displays the numbers of exported rows for each table. These numbers are the links to the corresponding result files. Click these numbers in order to download export results for the corresponding table.
Note that the files are available for download for 7 days since the package run.
