How to Create or Edit Backup Package

Creating New Backup Package

You can start creating backup package in the following way:

1.Navigate to the Backup Packages page by clicking Backup in the menu on the left side of the page.
2.On the Backup Packages page click the New button near the top left corner of the page.

After this a backup package editor will open. In this editor you need to perform the following actions:

1.Optionally click the btn-edit-name Edit name button near the automatically generated backup package name (on this step it's "Backup Package") and specify the package name. If you omit this step, the package name will be generated later based on the name of the connection used.
2.Under the Select Connection header, select the cloud connection to backup data from in the Connection list or click New Connection and create a new connection (learn how).
3.Select or clear check boxes for cloud objects in the grid below the Select Objects header to include or exclude them from backup.
 
If you opened an existing backup package for editing, only previously selected objects are displayed. Click the Show all link above the grid to show all objects.
 
To find the necessary object, you can type a part of its name, you can use object name filters.
4.You can optionally select only a part of the object fields to backup and filter data to backup. There is an edit link for each selected object in the second column of the grid below the Select Objects header. Click this link to open the Task Editor. Then select check boxes for the fields to backup in the list to the left of the editor. For the information on how to configure data filtering, see the Filter Settings topic. After you selected the necessary fields and configured filtering, click Save in the Task Editor. If necessary, repeat this step for other object.
5.Configure the backup schedule.

Backup packages cannot be scheduled to run automatically more often than once per day, but you can perform backup manually whenever you need.

6.Click the Save button.

After this your backup is ready. It will run automatically on the specified schedule, and you can run it manually by clicking the Force backup now button on the Backup Details Page.

 

Editing Backup Package

To open a backup package for editing, perform the following:

1.Navigate to the Backup Packages page by clicking Backup in the menu on the left side of the page.
2.On the Backup Packages page click the name of the backup package to edit.
3.Click the Actions button in the upper right corner of the page.
4.On the opened menu click Modify.

After this you can change the package name, connection, edit the package schedule, or change the list of backed up objects in the same way as described above.
