Import Overview

Skyvia import is a flexible tool for data migration between different platforms. It allows loading data from CSV files, cloud application objects or relational database tables to another cloud application or relational database. With Skyvia you can easily configure data migration even between platforms with different data structure.

In addition to INSERT, Skyvia Import supports all DML operations (including UPSERT), and thus can be used for performing massive data updates. See also Performing UPDATE and DELETE.

Preserving Data Relations

Each import package can contain one or more import tasks, and thus, import data from one or more source files, tables, or objects as a single import operation. When you load data from several source objects, and these source objects have a foreign key relations between them, Skyvia can build the corresponding relations between the target objects automatically, even when key structure is different in source and target. For this, Relation mapping is used.

Data Splitting

Skyvia allows loading data from a single file, database table, or CRM object to several related cloud CRM objects or database tables (one-to-many). Skyvia builds the corresponding relations between the imported objects or records automatically (see tutorial).

Skyvia allows very flexible mapping with powerful string and mathematical expressions.

Skyvia provides the following tutorials on data import:

Importing Accounts with Binary Attachments

note Note

When importing date/time data from CSV files, Skyvia assumes that they are specified as UTC values.
