Query Builder Overview

Query Builder is a visual query editor that allows you to compose SELECT queries visually without typing code.

Query Builder is available on the Builder view of SQL document. It consists of the four panes:

Filters pane. This pane is located under the Result Fields pane. It displays query filters and filter groups. You can drag columns from the Connection Object List to this pane to filter data by these columns (add them to the WHERE clause of the query). Read more...

Sort Fields pane. This pane is located under the Filters pane. It displays columns, by which the returned data is ordered and the sorting order. You can drag columns from the Connection Object List or from the Result Fields pane to this pane in order to sort the queried data by these columns (add them to the ORDER BY clause of the query). Details pane. This pane is located to the right of other three panes. It allows you to configure query in more details and displays settings for the currently selected item in one of other panes. When you click an item on the Result Fields pane, the Details pane allows you to apply functions to the result fields. For an item on the Filters pane, the Details pane allows configuring the filter or filter group, and for an item on the Sort Fields pane it allows you to change the sorting order. For more details read the corresponding topics in the Visual Query Builder section.
