Connecting to SugarCRM

SugarCRM is a cloud CRM from the SugarCRM software company, having includes sales-force automation, marketing campaigns, customer support, collaboration, reporting, etc. features. Skyvia supports importing data to and from SugarCRM, exporting SugarCRM data to CSV files, replicating SugarCRM data to relational databases, and synchronizing SugarCRM data with other cloud CRMs and relational databases.

Skyvia supports SugarCRM 7.0 or higher. Skyvia does not support SugarCRM Community edition.

SugarCRM-Specific Features and Limitations

Skyvia has the following limitations for SugarCRM:

Attachments are not supported
Exporting fields of the related entities or using them for filtering or ordering is not supported
Many-to-many associations are not supported
Some fields cannot be used in filters
Some entities are not available when you connect via a SugarCRM account without administrative privileges
Filter conditions does not contain and does not start with are not supported

 

SugarCRM Connections

To connect to SugarCRM, you need to specify the url to connect to and the user name and password to login.

You need to specify the following parameters for SugarCRM connection:

Name - connection name that will be used to identify the connection on the Connections page and when selecting a connection for a package.
URL - the url to connect to.
Username - the user name to login with.
Password - the password to login with.
Metadata Cache - Determines how often to update cached metadata for the connection. By default, Skyvia caches metadata of available objects for cloud sources. You can configure how often the cache is refreshed automatically or reset in manually on the Connection Details page of the corresponding connection by clicking the Clear link in the Metadata cache parameter in the Parameters pane. The following values are available for this setting:
oDisabled - the metadata cache is not created, and metadata are queried automatically whenever the connection is opened.
oOne Hour - the metadata cache expires after one hour since the previous refresh, and it is refreshed after this when the connection is opened.
oOne Day - the metadata cache expires after one day since the previous refresh, and it is refreshed after this when the connection is opened.
oOne Week - the metadata cache expires after one week since the previous refresh, and it is refreshed after this when the connection is opened.
oOne Month - the metadata cache expires after one month since the previous refresh, and it is refreshed after this when the connection is opened.
oInfinite - the cache is never reset automatically. Default value.

 

Skyvia uses secure HTTPS protocol to connect to SugarCRM service. If you need to connect to an unsecure SugarCRM server, using a self-signed or some other untrusted certificate, you can use Advanced connection parameters. Click Advanced and select the Allow Untrusted Certificate and Allow Certificate Name Mismatch check boxes if necessary.

Allow Untrusted Certificate check box allows connecting to SugarCRM servers that use untrusted certificates.

Allow Certificate Name Mismatch check box allows connecting to SugarCRM servers that use certificates, issued for other domain than the server's.
