Copying Salesforce data to SQL Azure cannot be simpler. You just need to perform the following three simple steps.
Specify necessary connection parameters for Salesforce.
Specify necessary connection parameters for SQL Azure.
Skyvia supports secure connections to SQL Azure.
Select Salesforce objects to replicate.
Just select check boxes in a list of Salesforce objects (e.g. Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Attachments, Accounts, custom objects, etc.). If necessary, you can tweak it in more details - replicate only part of Salesforce fields and filter data to replicate.
You don't need to prepare the SQL Azure database - Skyvia creates the tables corresponding to the Salesforce objects - Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Attachments, Accounts, custom objects, etc. - automatically.
Skyvia can more than just create a copy of the Salesforce data in SQL Azure - it can keep this copy in an up-to-date state automatically. All you need is to configure a schedule when to update the SQL Azure replica database.
When updating the data copy in the SQL Azure database, Skyvia does not perform full data copying each time. It retrieves only updated data from Salesforce and writes only necessary updates to the SQL Azure database.
With Skyvia you can copy all the data from a Salesforce object or disable replication for some Salesforce object fields. You can also configure filters for data to replicate.
If you need more than just to copy data from Salesforce to SQL Azure, you may use Skyvia's powerful data import functionality. Skyvia's data import tools will correctly extract Salesforce data, transform it, and load to SQL Azure when SQL Azure tables have different structure than Salesforce objects.
