This integration selects new Dynamics 365 Business Central customers with non-empty emails and imports them to Mailchimp as subscribers.

Notes

  • The integration does not create duplicates. If a contact with such email already exists, the integtration updates it.

  • Due to Mailchimp API specifics, if an address value is missing in the source record, the integration assigns a single quotation mark (') to the corresponding target field.

Requirements

Mailchimp connection must have specific settings:

  • Set the API Version to Ver3 in the Connection Editor.
  • Set Merge Fields Behavior parameter to Join Common Merge Fields.

How to Set Up

  1. Select or create connections: Dynamics 365 Business Central connection for Source and Mailchimp connection for Target.
  2. Specify the name of the audience to add subscribers to:
    1. Open the import task.
    2. In Mapping Definition of your import task, for the ListId field, specify the name of your audience instead of Enter your List (Audience) name....
    3. Save the task.
  3. Specify the schedule on which the integration will run automatically.

Tips

  • To create Mailchimp subscribers from specific new Dynamics 365 Business Central customers, configure more filters in the task editor.
