This integration selects new Jira issues and imports them to Timely as projects.

Note: It does not import pre-existing Jira issues to Timely projects.

Requirements

Jira connection must have specific settings:

  • Environment must be set to Cloud;
  • API Version must be set to Ver2.

How to Set Up

  1. Select or create connections: Jira connection for Source and Timely connection for Target.
  2. Provide the necessary information for the integration execution:
    1. Open the import task.

    2. In Mapping Definition of your import task, for the AccountId field, specify the Id of your Timely account instead of 12345.

    3. For the Color field, specify the ID of your Timely account instead of 12345.

      Important note: As alternative you can remove mapping with Target Lookup by clicking the cross right from "Target Lookup" and fill remaining field with one of the allowed values for color: 47b17c, 67a3bc, bd4c4f, d0915a, 866b9c, cdae4f, 5ab8b7, c697c0. You can find the detailed info in the official Timely API documentation here.

    4. For the Client_Id field, specify the name of your Timely client instead of Enter your Client name....

    5. For the Users field, specify one or more IDs of users who will be involved in your project instead of [{"user_id":Enter you User Id...}]. This field should be specified as an array of JSON objects: the whole list must be enclosed in square brackets, each element of the array must be enclosed in braces (curly brackets) and separated with commas.

    6. Save the task.

  3. Specify the schedule on which the integration will run automatically.

Tips

  • To create Timely projects from specific Jira issues, configure filters in the task editor.
